Our Portland warehouse is registered with the US Food and Drug Administration, so food, beverages, cosmetics and supplements can be received, stored and shipped from here.
Your shipment clears US customs through our licensed customs broker. We prepare the paperwork and the broker handles entry. Duties, taxes and brokerage fees are paid by you, and we tell you the amount before you ship.
Our facility holds an alcohol permit, so wine, beer and spirits from African and diaspora producers can be sold on Afrikart and delivered where state law allows.

A 3% card processing fee on each order is deducted from your share. Paid plans are billed in advance and require a card on file; fees are taken from your payout balance first when it covers them. Sample shipments to creators do not guarantee a post. Advertising and marketing services do not guarantee sales. Early funds on Pro and Pro Max require an order history and a low return rate, and are subject to the Vendor Agreement.
Getting paid
Customers pay Afrikart at checkout. We hold the money through the delivery window, so returns can be settled, and then release your share. Your share is between 50% and 70%, agreed when you join based on your volume and where you ship from. Each plan shortens the window.
Payouts go to your bank account with a statement showing every order, fee and return behind the number.

Shipping to the customer, packaging, payment handling and customer care all come out of Afrikart's share, never yours. At a 70% share the same order pays you $43.55. Pro and Pro Max sellers earn an extra 5% on sales above their monthly volume target.

On Pro and Pro Max you receive funds before the return period ends, so refunds issued after that are taken from your future payouts. A small reserve is held until day 30 to cover them.
You cover the shipment to our warehouse and the US import duties, taxes and brokerage fees on it. Our licensed customs broker handles the clearance, and we tell you the expected costs before you ship. From there, every customer order ships at Afrikart's cost.
Yes. Our warehouse is an FDA-registered facility and holds an alcohol permit. Food, beverages, cosmetics and supplements must meet US labelling rules, and alcohol ships only to states that allow delivery. Vendor Relations will check your products before you ship.
Anyone African or of African descent, anywhere in the world, and any vendor whose products African, Black and diaspora households already buy, whatever their own background. Every seller and product is reviewed before going live.
No. Most of our sellers aren't. You need a bank account we can pay into and the ability to ship stock to Portland, Oregon.
Starter is free. Paid plans are billed in advance at the start of each billing period, with a card on file. If your payout balance covers the fee, we take it from there first and your card isn't charged. If a payment fails, you have 7 days to fix it before your account returns to Starter. Your storefront stays live either way.
Yes. You can upgrade at any time from your seller portal, and downgrade at the end of your billing period. Pro Max is prepaid quarterly or yearly and isn't refunded mid-term.
Only the quarterly creator video on Pro Max is guaranteed. On other plans, creators choose what to post and earn commission on the sales they bring in.
No. We run the campaigns, match part of your budget on Pro and Pro Max, and report on spend, clicks and orders. Results depend on your products and prices.
You can lower prices, run coupons, send different products or ask Vendor Relations what shoppers are responding to. If you want your stock back, we'll return it at your shipping cost.
