Artisan's Perspective

Scrappy Elly was woven together by Oshea Hooks and Purls, row by vibrant row, into one joyful, rainbow-striped elephant. Her big floppy ears, round soft body, and sturdy little legs are shaped stitch by stitch, turning scraps of thread into a companion bursting with personality.

Each Scrappy Elly is hand-crocheted by artisans in Uganda, carrying forward a tradition of craft, patience, and resourcefulness passed down through generations. The result is a handmade keepsake that celebrates color, creativity, and the beauty of making something whole out of what's left behind.
