Plus 1 Desserts was born from a baker's quest for "clean label" ingredients, pivoting from synthetic market options to authentic, locally-grown vanilla. By working directly with farmers in Kenya and Uganda, the brand ensures fair pay while celebrating the world-class quality of regional crops. Each batch undergoes a patient, six-month cold extraction process to pull the most complex aromatic profiles from every bean. To ensure maximum potency, the vanilla caviar is deliberately left in the bottle so the extraction continues right until it reaches your kitchen.

I ordered this with vanilla extract to get the free shipping and I am glad I did! I never even heard of vanilla paste! Now I am using it all the time. Want some vanilla in that coffee? Add some paste. Vanilla ice cream with an extra kick? Add some paste. Mint Mojito with hint of vanilla add some paste. Its a large jar and a little goes a long way. When friends come over, I ask them if they can taste the secret ingredient. I did some internet research on vanilla in East Africa. They are trying to get their own local vanilla industry going that is presently dominated by multinationals exploiting Madagascar. It feels good helping them in this endeavor and I will encourage my friends to do as well
This vanilla was the star of our morning breakfast pancakes! As soon as you pour it out, you notice the dark concentrated color. This is not the typical stuff you get from the conglomerates. At 120 ml or 4oz its going to last a long time. The vanilla taste is strong and you can also taste the alcohol that will burn off during cooking. I also noticed vanilla pod residue. This is the real deal. It felt good supporting an African business in East Africa. It was the topic of conversation with out guest that were staying over from the night before and and had us researching vanilla on the internet. Apparently much of the worlds vanilla comes from Madagascar from companies such as Dr. Oetker. I found this to be an interesting story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5sD5n-Z71M
